Student Council

Here at Ventana Vista, our Student Council is committed to helping each of our students be kind, be safe, and be their best. Our Student Council is comprised of interested (vs. elected) third, fourth and fifth graders who meet once a week during lunch. We participate in many activities around school and in our community. So far this year, we have helped with the Bobcat Run, the Poetry Contest, and at the Love of Reading Night. In an effort to help those in need around the holiday season, we collected tons of supplies for the Humane Society. In addition, we select themes for and sponsor school-wide Spirit Days. At Ventana Vista ANY interested Our Student Council students are true leaders who exemplify the best our school has to offer.

Thank you,

Having fun and staying healthy is the goal of Mileage Club. The Ventana Vista Mileage Club meets on the lower field every Thursday during each student's lunch recess. Teachers and volunteers track the student's mileage.

  • For every completed mile, students earn a toe token
  • At 4 miles, they earn a prize
  • At 5 miles, they earn a certificate
  • The winning class each month earns the mileage club trophy

If we reach 1000 miles, Mrs. Mulay will ride around in a giant pink tricycle at school for the day!

Imagine Learning

Imagine Learning is a language and reading software that includes instruction in the five essential reading components: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It also has the ability to differentiate students' instruction by conducting an initial placement test to delineate a starting point for each student, regulate and sequence student instruction based on student responses, and provide informative feedback tailored to student responses. Finally, language support is provided for students who need it and the support is gradually withdrawn as students progress toward language proficiency.

Imagine Learning takes place daily in the Kaleidoscope Room from 7:15-7:45AM.

Miss Aiko Stevenson is the club monitor.
