Music
Music
At Ventana Vista, music is part of who we are. You’ll find it everywhere—at joyful concerts, surprise flash mobs, and in songs sung in both Spanish and English. Our music program helps kids become confident performers, creative problem-solvers, and caring global citizens. Along the way, they’re also building skills in language, math, public speaking, and teamwork—without even realizing it because they’re having so much fun. Whether they’re learning an instrument, reading music, or performing for families, they’re making memories and learning lessons that will stick with them for life. Every student has at least one performance each year, plus opportunities to participate in programs such as choir (4-5), band (5), boomwhackers (2-5), and now our new body drumming group (K-1).
The Benefits of a Music Education
Did you know that music education boosts more than just musical talent? According to Ms. Lee, our amazing music teacher, learning music strengthens children’s language development, builds public speaking confidence, and even enhances math skills!
Why Ms. Lee Became a Music Teacher
Ms. Lee didn’t always know she wanted to be a music teacher—and she didn’t fall in love with the first instrument she picked up, either. In fact, it took several tries before she found the right musical fit.

The choir sang at the annual Evening of the Arts, turning Ventana Vista’s iconic stairs into a stage.

Music Programs
Ventana Vista offers music opportunities that give students a fun way to explore their musical interests and build new skills. Students can join our Boomwhacker Club, sing in Choir, or play an instrument in Band. New this year: our K-1 students can join our Body Drumming Club!
Prefer classical music? Our Orchestra program begins in 4th grade and gives students the chance to learn violin, viola, cello, or bass.

Pop-sta!
Our new Pop-sta! event brought down the house! This one-of-a-kind celebration combines pop music and pasta for an evening of fun, food, and fantastic performances. Choir students lit up the stage with their renditions of favorite pop tunes, while families enjoyed a cozy Italian dinner in a transformed MPR that felt straight out of a classic dinner theater. It was a heartwarming celebration of talent, community, and a whole lot of spaghetti!
The MPR was transformed into a dinner theatre for the event.
Aspiring pop-stas and their families had to cross a red velvet rope to gain access to the premiere event.
Choir students performed as the crowd enjoyed a delicious pasta dinner.
